ANN brings you more uplifting reports: AdventHealth, through the Hope and Healing Center in Sanford, Florida, now offers intensive outpatient services for clients struggling with opioid addiction. The innovative treatment center gives individual and group counseling, substance-related and recovery-focused education, reflection and spiritual healing groups, and career assistance. Currently, it houses ten inpatient residents. The center is part of a partnership between AdventHealth, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Seminole County EMS Fire Rescue, the Board of County Commissioners, and Walmart. More programs and services will be offered at the facility to address the clients’ educational, vocational, behavioral, and housing needs. In the Inter-American Division (IAD), hundreds of Seventh-day Adventist schools celebrated an annual day of prayer on March 10. It was the IAD’s first virtual prayer day since its establishment 11 years ago. During the program, students prayed for health professionals, spiritual leaders, and government officials. The celebration also affirmed the power of leading a daily prayer life. It is not only for the students and teachers but also for their families. In Espirito Santo, Brazil, young people from the Colatina Central Adventist Church honored women who work in urban cleaning on March 6 to commemorate International Women’s Day. The youths delivered flowers with cards and offered a special song and prayer to women who work as street sweepers or work at the Colatinense Environmental Sanitation Service.
