Facing coronavirus at Respiro Association
During these very difficult times, the work of Respiro has grown a lot on the counseling side of things. So many people have contacted the Bucharest-based association asking for help, that in addition to the psychologists they already had on the team, they have added five pastors to the ranks who handle the spiritually focused cases.

For about a month, children enrolled in Adventurers Clubs in the southeastern Brazilian state of Espírito Santo have called adults and the elderly to pray with them and offer encouragement during the pandemic-related lockdown. Fostering hope in Alaska’s Native American communities
“I understand you want to be a foster mom,” said the woman who knocked on Shoni Evans’ front door in a small community in Alaska.
“I . . . maybe,” Evans replied nervously.
“Well, these two babies need a foster mom,” the woman said insistently.
Evans had seen the native babies before with their foster mom at the local Adventist church she attended. But during this reintroduction, the woman holding them brought them into the Evans’ home and laid them on the couch along with medical equipment.
