More than 40,000 Seventh-day Adventists in Rwanda flocked to the Amahoro National Stadium, located in the capitol city of Kigali, to celebrate 100 years of Adventism in the country.
President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ted N.C. Wilson, preaching to the congregation on Sabbath, called the event “momentous” and reminded everyone of God’s leadership throughout the ages.

ADRA readies to assist the Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands slammed by Hurricane Dorian
Since Monday, September 2, the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama in the Bahamas were hardest hit by Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 mph with gusts of up to 220 mph.
Local reports in the Bahamas indicate at least five people are dead and 21 people injured. The hurricane’s windspeed was recently downgraded to Category 2, but still lingers over the Bahamas.

New program coming to Hope Channel
Hope Channel International will launch a new television program entitled, “Revival for Mission” that will premiere on Hope Channel every Friday, starting September 6, 2019 at 8:30pm (EST).

Bangladesh: Thousands affected by slum fire, lose everything
Reports estimate more than 15,000 people were heavily affected by a recent fire that swept across a densely populated slum in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. The left three people injured, and more than 2,000 houses damaged beyond repair. The local government has been working to place people in temporary shelters.

AdventistHelp and ADRA partner to construct field hospital in Uganda
AdventistHelp was founded in 2015 as a medical humanitarian initiative in response to the overwhelming refugee crisis in the Middle East at the time.
