There are three key words in life and three key words that should shape who we are as Seventh-day Adventists and they are identity, purpose, and mission. In this video, Pastor Adam Ramdin will focus on purpose in his sermon 'Purpose in Time' and what we can learn from the story of Esther. God has called us as a church today with a particular purpose in the time in which we live. Where we're living in our homes, in our communities, in our families, and where we just go on a day-to-day basis, God has called us there to live a life where we represent Him where we share the message, where we live the message, and where we are faithful to the calling God has given to us. Prayer is the key to experiencing God’s power and guidance unleashed in our lives, families, and ministries. As the church focuses on this year’s theme, I Will Go, let us bathe our time together in prayer, asking God to speak to our hearts individually and as a church family. ___

When Esther Put God First?
Putting God first can be difficult. What can we learn from Esther that will help us put God first in our lives today?
When Esther agreed to join the selection process that would eventually make her queen of the Persian empire, many doubts must have rushed through her mind. Her people were exiles and their prospects were dim. It looked like God had abandoned them to the Persian rule, while still demanding obedience. But Esther was beautiful and this was an opportunity to rise above every woman in the empire.
Esther was beautiful, both inside and out. Even a ruthless king could see that. Xerxes chose her, above all others, to become his queen. Esther enjoyed her own palace and privileges she could have only imagined in previous years.
It is difficult to put God first when we struggle with poverty and the lack of resources. Yet, wealth and power often also lead people away from Him. How do you put God first when you have more wealth and influence than those around you? You follow the example of Esther and remember those who need protection.
King Xerxes was deceived by an advisor when he issued a death decree against all Hebrews. When challenged to beg the king for mercy, Esther was afraid. In her own words, Esther 4:11 reads:
“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
Esther was not immune to fear. But she was as courageous as she was beautiful. After asking all the Hebrews to fast and pray, she risked her life by entering the king’s presence uninvited. At that moment of great risk, she puts God first and proclaims some of the most unforgettable words in all history: “If I perish, I perish.”
Esther put God first. Her example compels us to do the same. —————————————————————————————————————

Children in India Learn to Make Smart Life Choices; and other world news
These are the latest uplifting news from the ANN: In India, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) partnered with Reckitt Benckiser (RB) to launch "The Birds and Bees Talk" (TBBT), a two-year program for children ages 10 to 19. Generally, the program aims to help young people make decisions about their health and life skills. It offers 27 innovative and engaging courses designed to address the information gap around children's reproductive and sexual health rights. The curriculum also gives a comprehensive life skills module that deals with power, protection, and pleasure. For community support, ADRA and RB, together with Royal Motors Group in Imphal, Manipur, organized a bike rally. In Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, a group of students and professionals from Montemorelos University continue to reach out to the most disadvantaged families in the Martinez Dominguez Community. For more than six months, the team has provided free psychological services, general medical consultations, and basic physical therapy. They also distributed food baskets and other basic necessities. The project is supported by the Adventist Health White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, and the Health Promoting University program at Montemorelos University. In Arlington, Texas, young adults of Younger Generation Church (YG) honored all frontline workers at Texas Health Mansfield with appreciation gifts. With help from Burton Adventist Academy students, YG collected personal, heartfelt notes and letters from students, appreciating frontline workers for their efforts to keep others safe and healthy. Aside from the notes, tokens for the hospital employees also include goodies like sweets, warm drinks, and Krispy Kreme donuts. The outreach elicited warm smiles from the ecstatic and grateful workers. Meanwhile, the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Hope Channel launched the latest online Bible trivia game, Heroes II, on March 25. Eight years after Heroes' original version, Heroes 2 is the first game a Christian broadcasting network has published. One exciting feature of the innovation is that players are encouraged to start Bible studies through Hope Channel. The game is currently available in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, with six more languages available soon. Learn more here. Heroes 2 is also available for download on both iOS and Android mobile platforms. Fasting & Prayer [Pastor Wilson Explains the Special Reason We Fast]
In this video, Pastor Ted Wilson shares a message on fasting and prayer. Why should we fast? One of the most beautiful promises in the Bible is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14—"If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." If ever there was a time to pray and seek God's face, it is now. Today, amid mounting crises and polarization across societies, is the time to humble ourselves and ask for God's wisdom and guidance in carrying forward the mission and message He has asked us to share with the world. This coming Sabbath, April 3, has been designated as one of four special days of Prayer and Fasting throughout the year. Why a day for prayer and fasting? Because it helps us, in a special way, to focus on the Lord, and our need of Him. We fast because we are in earnest for God's blessing–not that it is a way to "earn" that blessing, though. Fasting and prayer allows us to set aside everyday distractions and to focus more fully on connecting with God. Fasting is a part of the Christian's life. If we study all the fasts in the Bible, we find that every time God's people prayed and fasted, God worked mightily on their behalf, offering deliverance and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Fasting has always been part of the lifestyle of believers, just like prayer and Bible study. In fact, every major character in the Bible fasted. Fasting is more than just skipping meals–it is choosing to do without something in order to pray more intentionally, and to focus more fully. Many choose to skip meals, but not everyone can do without food completely, and not everyone chooses this type of fast. Some other ideas might include choosing to eat more simply, or fasting from social media, television, or other time-consuming habits. I invite you to pray about what kind of fast the Lord would lead you to do. But whatever you do, it's important to remember that fasting isn't about earning a heavenly reward. The main point is to remove distractions so we can seek Jesus more wholeheartedly. The Revival and Reformation team at the General Conference has prepared a beautiful packet of materials, including a program outline, story, sermon and more, encouraging churches and individuals to participate in this very special day. Visit revivalandreformation.org to download this free packet. What a privilege it is to draw close to the Lord through prayer and fasting. May He guide each one of us as we seek Him with all of our hearts on this special day. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V5IBgx1lHw
Week of Prayer 2021 [The Power of the Person]
How can we live God's message? We can find inspiration in the story of Joseph. In this video, Pastor Adam Ramdin shares a sermon titled 'The Power of the Person'. How can one person make a big difference? Joseph lived a life that left a legacy that made an impression on a nation for thousands of years. The benefits of Joseph's life still benefit the country today. We are called to give a message that will change lives for eternity. You can make a commitment to God to live a life where the message you preach
is the message you believe and the message you share matches who you are as an individual. Prayer is the key to experiencing God’s power and guidance unleashed in our lives, families, and ministries. As the church focuses on this year’s theme, I Will Go, let us bathe our time together in prayer, asking God to speak to our hearts individually and as a church family. ___
