Luis began preaching and sharing his faith, despite his limited knowledge. He yearned to know more about God, but at this point, he had not yet encountered the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Eventually, he became an Evangelical pastor, taking joy in teaching others about the Bible. One day, a friend introduced him to a Bible prophecy series from Adventist World Radio. Intrigued by the subject of prophecy, Luis decided to listen. One of the first messages, which discussed what happens when you die, struck him profoundly. He was taken aback by how clear and straightforward the message was, and how it was directly derived from the Bible. He was left questioning how he could have been so wrong all his life

Luis, the son of missionary parents, had a different path in mind for his life. Despite his mother's devout Christianity and constant prayers, he was drawn to the temptations of the world. He ignored the pleas of his parents and, like the prodigal son, chose to live his life on his own terms. In the bustling city of Monterrey, Mexico, home to around 130 million people, sadly only 500,000 are Seventh-day Adventists. However, the efforts of Adventist World Radio are powerfully felt here. One of the locals, Luis Miguel, regularly visits the hospital to share Christ's love with the children, many of whom have experienced far too much suffering in their short lives. Watching Luis engage with them, their eyes lighting up as he shares stories of Jesus and His love, is truly heartwarming. Yet, it's hard to imagine that Luis' life was not always a happy one
