Every time we think we’ve reached the end of the incredible miracles in Mindoro, we’re blown away again! If you’ve been following our reports from this amazing project, you know that in December more than 700 former communist rebels were baptized, becoming fully reconciled Seventh-day Adventist Christians. They’ve been on fire for Jesus ever since. At the time of their baptism, they chose the motto “Each One Reach One,” and we promised to return when they reached this goal. They took it to heart, sharing their newfound faith with everyone they knew, and just two months later they contacted us to tell us they’d reached their goal! We returned to the Philippines three weeks ago to witness the amazing baptism of these new Christians, the first fruits from their labor. What an unforgettable experience! For 20 years, Lily had followed her husband’s Roman Catholic religion, but he had never once allowed her to open and read the Bible. Then one day, an AWR representative visited their town in India, looking for someone to translate Bible lessons into the local dialect. Lily knew she could do it, and gladly accepted the challenge. For the first time in her life, she could now read the Bible. But to her surprise, it contradicted many of the church’s traditions!
