Over two hundred people from across the British Union Conference (BUC) attended this year’s annual British Union Evangelism And Mission Summit (BEAMS) that took place over the weekend, 18-20 November, at the Hinckley Jury’s Inn hotel.
The summit highlighted the importance of building stronger families under the theme, ‘Save the Family’. BEAMS is run by the Personal Ministries department of the BUC, but this year they collaborated with the Family Ministries department to organise the event.

“Faith In Action” shares love
The singing group ‘Faith in Action’ (FIA) recently engaged in a Personal Ministries project by visiting St Agnell’s House in Hemel Hempstead.
The group has been active since the lockdown and supports local communities with food, clothing, and literature distribution. It is their second visit to St Agnell’s House, a residential care home.

In Search of UK Adventist Education History
Can you list all the current Adventist schools in the UK? Better still, can you list all the previous Adventist schools and where they were located? Does anyone remember Stanley Hall School in London? Yes, it did exist. I recently received photos from a former student (now in his 70s) who attended in the 1950s and currently attends our church in Grimsby. The school was near Willesden church, and the headmistress was Miss Ridger. We are seeking more stories and pictures of this school.

General Conference invites You to Complete a Survey
The Trans-European Division (TED) of the General Conference is inviting all members in the British Union Conference (BUC) to complete the Global Church Membership Survey 2022 (GCMS 2022). The last GCMS survey was conducted in 2017 and the outcomes were valuable to both the TED and the BUC as they directed their mission and discipleship efforts.
