As we end a very challenging year, we pause to express our appreciation to the Lord for seeing us through. In retrospect, the Lord has been very good to us. We have come out of a pandemic and lockdown, witnessing Russia invade Ukraine and war breaking out. Many lives have been lost as a result.

Marriage Enrichment Fellowship (MEF) End of Year Dinner
Forty couples from across the British Union Conference celebrated a couples’ dinner on Saturday night, 17 December, to commemorate enriching their marriages at the Leonardo Hotel near Heathrow Airport.

Faith Leaders Discuss Cost-of-Living Crisis Interventions in Parliament
Acknowledging the extent and impact of the cost-of-living crisis, Dean Russell, Watford MP, extended an invitation to faith leaders to attend a round-table discussion in Parliament. This key event was held in the Portcullis Parliamentary building at Westminster on Tuesday, 13 December. Annual Toy Service at Stanborough Park Church
Thanks to the generosity of members and their friends, Stanborough Park church, Watford, was again holding its Annual Toy Service, providing toys and games for the children of families in the local area experiencing severe hardship this year.

As we look back over 2022 in the Scottish Mission
The Scottish Mission has lost two of our good pastors this year due to their relocation to Newbold College in the summer. Pastors Rory and Ivana Mendez accepted two different roles, Ivana as a lecturer at Newbold, and Rory as the Director of the Ellen G. White Centre located within the Newbold College perimeter. We have fond memories of their time here, 9 years in total, and were sorry to see them go.
