Newbold Church Pathfinders and Adventurers together with their Counsellors joyfully received the ‘surviving lockdown’ badges during their investiture held on Sabbath 10 July. This is a special badge given on top of other badges, in honour and recognition of the hard work put in during lockdown when club meetings were held via zoom. On 23 March 2020 the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced that England would begin a period of lockdown, during which people were not to leave their houses for anything except for essential trips.  Offices, schools, churches, and other establishments all closed their doors to await the passing of the COVID-19 virus.
