Entonces, ¿por qué tantos descansan y alaban en un día diferente de la semana? ¿Cuándo es el Santo Día de Reposo? ¿Es el sábado o el domingo? ¿Es posible que la Iglesia Cristiana haya permitido que la tradición del hombre eclipse el camino de Dios? Finalmente, ¿por qué importa qué día es el verdadero día de alabanza y cuál es el sábado falsificado? El "primer día", o domingo, sólo se menciona ocho veces en el Nuevo Testamento. Algunos de estos versículos describen cómo las mujeres regresaron a la tumba de Jesús el domingo para terminar de preparar el cuerpo de Cristo (Marcos 16:1-2, Marcos 16:9, Mateo 28:1, Lucas 24:1, Juan 20:1). Jesús fue crucificado el viernes, llamado "día de preparación", porque debían prepararse para el Santo Día De Reposo de Dios, el sábado. Jesús luego descansó en la tumba el Santo Día de Reposo, el "séptimo día" de la semana, y se levantó el domingo, el "primer día" de la semana. Si vemos otros versículos que mencionan el "primer día" en el Nuevo Testamento, no vemos indicio de ningún cambio. Muchos cristianos leen en Lucas 4:16 que Jesús, "conforme a su costumbre", iba a la iglesia el sábado. Cristo dijo en Mateo 24:20 que Sus discípulos guardarían el sábado del séptimo día 40 años después de la cruz. Por lo tanto, ¡Jesús no cambió el Santo Día de Reposo! La Biblia afirma en Hebreos 13:8: "Jesucristo es el mismo ayer, hoy y por los siglos". ¡Dios no cambió el sábado, Jesús no cambiaría el sábado, y los discípulos no podrían cambiar el sábado! En Daniel 7:2-3, Daniel vio a cuatro grandes bestias que subían del mar. Daniel describe a las bestias como un león, un oso, un leopardo y una bestia con diez cuernos. El versículo 17 establece que las bestias representan cuatro reyes, o reinos. La mayoría de los eruditos bíblicos coinciden en que la cuarta bestia representa al Imperio Romano. Daniel 7:8 dice: "Mientras yo contemplaba los cuernos, he aquí que otro cuerno, uno pequeño, crecía entre ellos". Este pequeño cuerno aparece entre los primeros diez cuernos, después de la caída de Roma. Daniel 7:25 predice: "Él [el cuerno pequeño] hablará palabras contra el Altísimo y oprimirá a los santos del Altísimo. Intentará cambiar las festividades y la ley…" La Biblia nos dice que la santidad del domingo viene de las tradiciones de los hombres, modificada de la ley de Dios. Es Jesús mismo en Mateo 15:3-9quien dice "en vano me rinden culto, enseñando como doctrina los mandamientos de los hombres". Dios dice que el Santo Día de Reposo es una gran señal (Ezequiel 20:12; Éxodo 31:16). Es un signo de nuestra lealtad a Cristo. ¿Alguna vez se ha preguntado por qué la gente pondría un sello en una carta u otro documento? ¿Qué significa?
Un sello lleva el nombre, título y territorio de su propietario y transmite autoridad y propiedad al receptor del mensaje. En la antigüedad, los sellos de cera se usaban a menudo en contratos o tratados como una marca de identificación de autoridad y autenticidad. ¿Sabías que Dios usa un "sello" para identificar a sus seguidores y marcarlos para la redención? Seguramente, los humanos no recibirán un sello de cera en la frente. . . entonces, ¿cuál es este sello?
El sábado es el sello de un compromiso y una relación. Al observar el sábado, los seguidores de Dios demuestran que le pertenecen. Entonces, ¿cómo y cuándo se observa el sábado?
Los seres humanos son los únicos seres creados que pueden distinguir el bien del mal, y la parte de nuestro cerebro que toma esas decisiones es nuestra corteza prefrontal, que se encuentra detrás de nuestras frentes. Cuando elegimos “recordar el día de reposo” como dice el cuarto de los Diez Mandamientos, estamos eligiendo ser “sellados” por Dios. El sábado existe para recordarnos quién es Dios. Él es el Creador del cielo y la tierra. Dios dijo a través del profeta Ezequiel: “Les di mis sábados como señal entre nosotros, para que supieran que yo, el Señor, los santifiqué” (Ezequiel 20:12). Dios quiere que recordemos que Él es nuestro Creador y Redentor.
Dios creó a los seres humanos en el sexto día de la creación, el viernes. Al día siguiente, el sábado, descansó, lo bendijo y lo santificó. Dios quiere pasar un tiempo valioso con aquellos que creó a su imagen. Esto significa que quiere pasar tiempo contigo
¿Sabías que el sábado ha existido desde la primera semana de la creación y no estaba destinado solo a un grupo selecto de personas? Dios creó el sábado con la intención de pasar tiempo con todas las personas. El sábado existía mucho antes de que Dios le diera los mandamientos a Moisés en el monte Sinaí, y Pablo y los gentiles cristianos todavía guardaban el Santo Sábado mucho después de la muerte de Jesús en la cruz.
Cuando Dios creó los días de la semana, cada período de 24 horas estuvo marcado por la rotación de la tierra. La parte de la noche precedió a la parte del día, lo que significa que la puesta de sol es la primera parte de un nuevo día. Cada día de la semana comienza con la puesta de sol de la noche anterior. Entonces tiene sentido que el sábado comience el viernes por la noche al atardecer y continúe hasta el sábado por la noche al atardecer.
¿Qué más puede hacer Dios para enfatizar la permanencia y la importancia de Su santo día de reposo? Lo dijo con Su voz, lo escribió con Su dedo y envió a Su propio Hijo amado, Jesús, como nuestro Ejemplo. Los discípulos lo enseñaron y los creyentes de Dios lo mantendrán en la tierra nueva por toda la eternidad.

I have had presented to me how the leaven of evil will work. Satan has come down in great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time in which to work. He will work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness. Those who in their past experience have had great light but have not cherished that light nor purified their souls by obeying the truth will meet with great loss….
The spirit of antichrist is developing rapidly. Soon there will be a time when those who follow their own human nature, who manifest a love for supremacy, will be found to be on the losing side. The Lord has abased kings, and He will say to all who, while professing to serve Him, … make a display and depart from His counsel: “What doest thou to declare My law, while thou thyself livest in transgression?” …

Dear Friends,
One day when my children were little, we went on a hike in the mountains. It was a dark and thickly wooded area and very beautiful. We were the only ones on the trail which made it even better. As we looked around at all the beauty, it seemed it could not get better.
Just then the narrow path widened a little and there before us was a lake sparkling in the sunshine. The leaves of the trees were so thick above us that it hadn’t let much light through, but there on the water, it was bright and sunny. We sat on some logs in the coolness of the shade and looked out over the water. We talked for a few minutes while the children waded in the water. It seemed like all the cares of life had evaporated and all was happiness and peace.
Later as we started to walk back to the realities of life, we smelled the distinctive smell that a mountain lion makes when marking his territory. That smell had not been there when we had passed that spot not long before. We felt just a tinge of fear at the thought that while we had been sitting by the water, blissfully enjoying the beauty of the place, something had probably been watching us and thinking what a great meal Esther or Ronnie Jay would make.
What an impression that mountain lion’s odor made upon us. We kept a watchful eye for even the slightest movement in the brush. We kept our ear tuned for even the tiniest sound that might be that cougar. How thankful we were for God’s protecting care. We could say with Daniel after passing the night in the lions’ den, “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me.” Dan 6:22
Truly, our Heavenly Father sends His angels to guard each of His children. “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Heb 1:14 How comforting is the thought that God’s angels are keeping the evil ones at bay.
There is a famous painting of a man in the valley of decision. Over him are a good angel and an evil one both trying to get him to choose their side. The good angel is rebuking the evil one. How often this scene is played out in our own life. The devil is continually setting traps for our feet. He is continuously whispering suggestions that would cause us to stray from the narrow way. Yet, we are not left to fight the adversary alone. Our Great Redeemer sends His angels (who outnumber the evil angels two to one [Rev 12:4]) to chase the evil ones away.
Moreover the host of Heaven is intensely interested in our decisions. Jesus tells us, “I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:10 Think of it! As we are making choices, the angels are waiting to see which side we choose. If we choose the right, they rejoice. May we make the right decisions is my prayer.
