Giovanna, 6 years old, did not like fruits or vegetables when she arrived to attend the Christian Holiday School in Bahia, Brazil. I met Toni and Buck at a sandwich shop, where all three of us lamented being stranded at the Anchorage, Alaska, airport. They wore the tired, ragged look of people who had spent the past four days at the airport. Roger and Ariel Lantigua, brothers from the Bowman Hills Pathfinder Club in Cleveland, Tennessee, won the theme song contest for the 2019 Chosen International Pathfinder Camporee. Event organizers announced in July that the piece created by 19-year-old Roger and 18-year-old Ariel was chosen to be the official theme song for the camporee.

Thursday, August 8, marked a momentous occasion that has been more than a decade in the making. The doors of Adventist Health Care’s brand-new White Oak Medical Center(WOMC) were opened. The Breaking the Silence campaign, organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South America, took place in the community of Três Rios, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 4th.
