The Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America is responding to the tragic killings of Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia, Breonna Taylor in Kentucky, George Floyd in Minnesota, and other recent events that clearly document the racial divide destroying the quality of life for so many and the very fabric of our democratic society. President of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church sends letter of encouragement to members in Burundi.

ADRA Responds to urgent food and hygiene needs in Soamanandrariny, Madagascar
In mid-May, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), delivered commodities and wash kits to the most vulnerable families in Soamanandrariny, Antananarivo. The response was funded by Latter-day Saint Charities.
These supplies helped approximately 2,800 people in 470 families who are affected by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and whose income has drastically decreased. Record keeps members connected during COVID-19
Churches in Western Australia are using Adventist Record to connect with their members, especially those who may not be internet savvy, while churches remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“Many of our churches are dropping off the Record at members’ homes, letting them know they are cared for,” said Pastor Steve Goods, WA Conference president.

Adventist operated retirement center one of the few to remain COVID-19- free in Italy
Among hundreds of people sick and dead, a high-risk retirement home managed by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Italy has managed to stay COVID-19-free during the current pandemic. Casa Mia, a facility that is home to nearly 90 seniors in Forlì, in Emilia-Romagna, has effectively deflected the novel coronavirus and protected residents, staff, and volunteers, acknowledged its director, Fabian Nikolaus.
