Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the postponement of the 2020 General Conference (GC) Session until May 2021, and the North American Division (NAD) of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church policy that requires the election of NAD vice presidents and department directors be held after a General Conference Session, the North American Division Committee (NADCOM) voted on May 21, 2020, to hold division elections on May 26, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Seventh-day Adventist students, teachers help feed 400 families in Brazil’s capital
One of Brazil’s largest favelas, or slum districts, located 22 miles (35 kilometers) from the nation’s capital buildings in Brasília, has been helped by Seventh-day Adventist students and educators during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
Adventist Education Network teachers and students distributed 400 food baskets to residents of Sol Nascente, a neighborhood that sprouted on the capital’s outskirts some 20 years ago. In Brazil, Seventh-day Adventists help collect 17,000 food baskets during pandemic
Things were desperate for Izaílde Silva, in fact, they were about as bleak as they could be: it was lunchtime and the 58-year-old housekeeper had no food on the stove. There was nothing in the pantry at the woman’s home in Belém do Pará, a city of 1.4 million people in northern Brazil. New Caledonia celebrates baptisms and ordinations
The Adventist church in Mare and the New Caledonia Mission celebrated a special day on May 9 with the ordination of three elders and the baptism of five people.
The elders were ordained during the morning Sabbath service, followed by communion. Then, the baptismal candidates—Arlette Roine, Charles Roine, Evelyn Waheo, Tom Wright, and Edmond—publicly gave their hearts to Jesus in the afternoon.
