Patty Vidales, Youth Director of the Paradise Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in National City, California, near San Diego, decided to be proactive. In addition to prayer and creating a safe place for kids to be real, she and other church leaders engaged in efforts that they believe can lead to youth retention.
