Where are your children? Busyness brought on by work, hectic schedules, too many programs at the church for adults, and a variety of other factors contribute to the loss of children at the feet of Jesus. We have been summoned to separate ourselves from the evils of secular societies. Children are easily influenced by either good or evil. That is why we should raise kids to rely on Jesus rather than this world, by providing them with God-given knowledge and education founded in Christ. What makes Adventist education unique? The foundation of this education is the Word of God. It is a church-school where children learn the Word of God and His character. The pillars of education in the Adventist school system are: knowing God, understanding His plans, and exemplifying Jesus in all we do. We must prepare our children for heaven. Where are your children? Have you placed their faith firmly on the Rock that cannot be moved. Tentmaking was a common trade for many in the Bible like Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila. With it, they financed the gospel mission. Today, modern “tentmakers” follow Paul’s example, using their trade or profession to support the mission and share the gospel in difficult to reach places like the 10/40 Window. Adventist Mission’s Global Mission initiative supports today’s tentmakers by providing training, resources, and spiritual support for missionaries worldwide. One of the most serious consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic was that the virus was so contagious that people were often forced to suffer alone. The situation dramatically weakened their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Many in our world today walk through life hopeless. Yet, Christ invites us to bear hope to our hurting world. On August 27, 2022, Chile hosted a week-long evangelistic series themed "Never give up, there is still hope," which included inspirational messages by guest speaker, Pastor Robert Costa. Many of the week’s messages answered difficult questions individuals often ask such as, “If God is good, why do innocent people suffer?” and “Why does a loving God allow suffering?” As a result, several give their lives to Jesus through baptism.
