This week in Adventist history, meet two of the first converts to the Advent message and the Sabbath, passionate supporters of Ellen White’s ministry—Heman Stetson Gurney and Eliza Stetson. Heman was born on January 28, 1818. In 1838, he read the writings of William Miller. Two years later, Joseph Bates shared a copy of the Millerite periodical, Signs of the Times, with him.
