On December 17, 1906, "Te Maramarama," translated as "The Lightbearer," was introduced as a magazine printed for the people of the Society Islands in their native language. Continuing its publication until 1964, this magazine played a pivotal role in evangelism, overcoming challenges imposed by French government laws in Tahiti.
