In this video, Pastor Ted Wilson is joined by Nancy Wilson to talk about the importance of leading children to Christ and how to build strong families. When God created a man and a woman in the Garden of Eden and united them in the first ever marriage ceremony, he blessed them and told the couple to “Be fruitful and multiply. . .” encouraging them to have children. In Psalm 127:3 we read from the New Living Translation— “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” And what a privilege and important responsibility the Lord has given to parents to raise these little ones for Him! Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:3, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” As we consider the influence we have on our children and grandchildren, how important it is to be sure that we ourselves are converted, surrendered fully to God and to His will. When we are in tune with the Lord, praying and reading His inspired writings, He gives us just the instruction we need. One of the most effective ways in leading children to Christ is through family worship. This is a wonderful time when the family comes together to sing songs, to read God’s word together in an age-appropriate way, and to help the children realize that this is not just some ancient book that was written for people thousands of years ago—but rather, it is the living word of God, that contains promises just for them! A Christian home is a place where Jesus is the center. When there are problems, Jesus is the One we naturally go to, to find guidance and help in working through those problems. A mother’s and father’s main role is to train up their children to see Jesus as their personal Friend, to whom they can take all of their cares, who wants what is best for them and wants for them to be happy! In today’s world, there are so many challenges facing the family, and we need to be praying more than ever for God’s wisdom, guidance, strength, and courage. May He bless you, and your family, as you reach out in faith to Him! Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa6FhfpSb9Q
When You Feel Like an Outsider, Try This…
For Daniel, life was uprooted in his teen years when he was taken captive into Babylon. But despite the difficulties he and several other young men would face, Daniel would still purpose in his heart to put God first. What can we learn from his life? This short reflection on his journey will lead you to think about how your own situation can be used to give back to God and further His work in today’s age. #GodFirst

Instead of a Holiday, these Young People Decided to Help Others; and other world news
Here is some inspiring news from the Seventh-day Adventist Church community: In Brazil, more than 9,000 young people participated in the Caleb Mission Project in January. They contributed and volunteered in missionary work including Bible studies, blood donation, food collection, and home renovations, particularly in flood-affected areas. The project aims to mobilize youth across South America to dedicate some of their vacation time to evangelism in places with no Adventist presence. It has become the biggest youth movement in South America. In Poland, the Regional Medical Chamber in Łódź presented Adventist doctor, Tomasz Karauda, an award 'for contributions to health protection' on February 2. Dr. Karauda, with the Kulczyk Foundation, donated over 5 million US dollars to the Doctors for Doctors Foundation. The fund was used at a critical time to purchase personal protective equipment for Polish doctors. The honorary badge is a departmental civilian decoration awarded by the Polish Minister of Health. In the Inter-American Division, Zarith Méndez topped the quinquennial Bible Connect competition on January 30. Answering 99 out of 100 multiple-choice questions correctly, she outclassed the other three participants. Méndez said studying the Bible has changed her life entirely and helped her get involved with public campus ministries at her university. She will represent the IAD as a youth delegate during the Adventist World Church's General Conference Session next year in Indiana, USA. The competition aims to motivate more than 1.5 million young people across Inter-America to study and apply God's Word. Watch more of these news features here at ANN (adventist.news).
