Genesis 13 | Believe His Prophets | Daily Bible Reading Guide ๐Ÿ•Š

Commentary by Mark Finley:
"Genesis 13 begins with Abraham worshipping at an altar (verse 3) and it ends with Abraham worshipping at an altar.(verse 18) Although Abraham, in his humanness, exhibited a lack of faith when he was in Egypt, he did not give up his faith. He remained loyal to God. He had frailties like each one of us but his heart was committed to God. His mistakes did not discourage him to give up his faith and neither should ours. Abraham’s unbelief in Egypt led him to deeper dependence upon God at Bethel. When a conflict arose over land and water rights, Abraham said to his nephew, Lot, “Please let there be no strife between me and you.” (Verse 8) He then graciously gave Lot the choice of the land he desired. Abraham unselfishly disadvantaged himself for the sake of peace. Lot chose what he believed was the best land bordering the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and it proved a disaster for his family. Abraham’s kind, giving spirit prepared him to receive God’s abundance. Heaven’s richest blessings flow to giving hearts." โค๏ธ Jump to Daily Bible Reading https://www.revivalandreformation.org/bhp/en/bible/gen/13 Our accounts in other social networks:

Genesis 12 | Believe His Prophets | Daily Bible Reading Guide ๐Ÿ•Š

Commentary by Mark Finley:
"The Lord’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:2 reveals another eternal truth which is centuries old. “I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.” The blessings which God gives us are not to be selfishly hoarded. We are blessed to bless. As we share the blessings that God has given us, we bring glory to His name. “And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”(Verse 3) God blessed Abraham so he could bless others. He blesses us so that our families can be blessed through us. We become a channel of heaven’s blessings to those around us. The path of success and the path of failure lie very close together. Abraham compromised his integrity by declaring that Sarah, his wife, was his sister. His lack of faith almost resulted in tragedy. As Pharaoh correctly stated, “I might have taken her as my wife.” (Verse 17) Abraham’s unbelief may have caused him to lose the one he cherished most. Years later God brought Abraham to a similar test of faith. Would he now believe God that Sarah would conceive in old age? When we fail at one point, God brings us to that same place again and again. The lessons in the school of the Lord cannot be skipped or omitted. Thank God Abraham passed the test and we can too. โค๏ธ Jump to Daily Bible Reading https://www.revivalandreformation.org/bhp/en/bible/gen/12 Our accounts in other social networks:

Genesis 11 | Believe His Prophets | Daily Bible Reading Guide ๐Ÿ•Š

Commentary by Mark Finley:
"Genesis 11 introduces at least three vital truths. The first is this: unchecked human pride eventually leads to spiritual disaster. The builders of the Tower of Babel wanted to make a name for themselves. (verse 4) Rather than glorifying God and God alone, they desired to glorify themselves. Secondly, the Babel builders rejected the explicit Word of God. He promised that this world would never be destroyed by a flood again. When God confused their speech the human race lost one of its common unifying factors-language, Disobedience brings division. Unity comes from obeying God not disregarding His commands. There is one more important truth in this chapter. It is found in Shem’s genealogy. Genesis 11 traces the lineage of Noah’s sons and ultimately focuses on Shem. Abraham is born of Shem’s line. Israel proceeds from the family tree of Abraham and eventually through this line the Messiah is born. Centuries in advance, God had a plan for Abraham and his descendants. God is never caught by surprise. He is planning for your future today." โค๏ธ Jump to Daily Bible Reading https://www.revivalandreformation.org/bhp/en/bible/gen/11 Our accounts in other social networks:

Christian Service, ch. 1, part 2 | Believe His Prophets | Weekly Spirit of Prophecy Reading Guide ๐Ÿ•Š

January 24, 2022 By admin

โœ… Friends, Share with others and Subscribe to our channel – https://www.youtube.com/c/revivereform
Commentary by Raul Lozano:
"Jesus said once to His disciples, “I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me” (John 15:15). These things that Jesus shared with the disciples certainly include details about mission. Everything we need to know in becoming witnesses for Christ has been told to us. Jesus places the foundational why of mission before the how. Once we know why we do mission, the how of mission will come more smoothly. It is because of the why that we can overcome any hurdle or barrier to the mission. The first why is that mission helps develop a character like Christ’s. We experience joy when others are won for Jesus. A second why is that involvement in mission hastens Christ’s coming, which is what we all are looking for. A third why is that mission is the context where I can share my life experiences, revealing God through my personal testimony.A fourth why is that mission is love-driven: only those who value Christ’s pure, holy life will sacrifice comfort and bear witness in their lives. My final why is that mission helps believers reorient their priorities making their jobs or professions the setting of their witnessing. In this way, their careers are seen as part of ministry, not separate from it. Raul Lozano

Genesis 10 | Believe His Prophets | Daily Bible Reading Guide ๐Ÿ•Š

January 23, 2022 By admin

Commentary by Mark Finley:
"Genealogies are often difficult to read and more difficult to understand. Nevertheless they play an important role in our understanding of the Bible story. They show the continuity of families, reveal the migration of peoples, provide bridges between significant Biblical events, and enable us to discern more clearly the interrelationship of Bible characters. In Genesis 10 Noah’s three sons and their families settle in three distinctly different areas. The sons of Ham reside in Northeastern Africa and Palestine, The descendents of Shem migrate to Mesopotamia and Southwest Arabia and the families of Japheth journey to Asia Minor(modern Turkey) and Western Europe. They were separated according to their “language, families and nations.” Obviously differences eventually arose among the sons of Noah. These differences led them to move in different directions. There are times in life when moving in a different direction is far better than remaining and waging war. There is another vital spiritual lesson here. Noah’s faithfulness to God and his stalwart obedience did not guarantee the faithfulness of his own sons. Just as Noah had to make a decided choice to serve God so did his sons. Share any spiritual lessons you see in this challenging chapter." โค๏ธ Jump to Daily Bible Reading https://www.revivalandreformation.org/bhp/en/bible/gen/10 Our accounts in other social networks:
