Our country is in the grip of a virulent crisis that most of us have never faced before. If it has taught us anything, it’s that things can change in a moment—overnight. If you had visited Egypt just four months before the liberation of the people of Israel, everything would have been the same as it had been for the past 400 years—not a hint of what was coming. Yet in four months, they were on their way to the Promised Land. How do we prepare for our Promised Land? Jesus explained it in the story of the talents—it boils down to faithfulness. He said, “He who is faithful in little, will be faithful in much.” (Luke 16:10) This is a video of Abraham—a Maasai cattle owner from Tanzania. He can’t read or write, but he decided he would be faithful with his trust—and miracles followed! Watch his story and be inspired! I know that many of you are troubled right now by the coronavirus pandemic, and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention it. Almost overnight, it has reached the world population, disregarding borders and social classes.
Jesus said we should not be troubled, for these things must come to pass. Instead, we must continue to preach the gospel as a witness to all nations—because only then will the end come!
That’s what AWR is all about. We cannot be distracted from our mission. Soon, God’s last-day message will spread faster than any virus ever could, until it reaches every nation, kindred, tongue and people. What a day that will be!

Born to a powerful Muslim family, he was stoned repeatedly for his faith and eventually returned to Nazareth as an Adventist pastor. Alone as the only Arabic-speaking pastor in all of Israel and the Palestinian West Bank, God has been blessing Wisam in astounding ways. When Wisam was attacked and stabbed with a butcher knife, it bent uselessly in his aggressor’s hands. The threats and curses aimed at Wisam became his enemies’ own death warrants, and Wisam’s influence has grown far and wide.
