This is a Good News Episode! There’s so much bad news out there that sometimes we fail to see what God is doing around the world—and some of it is pretty amazing! We are seeing miracle after miracle in places never before reached with the gospel message. Let me share just a couple highlights: · The largest brothel in the world is an actual city in Bangladesh. God has opened a door to secretly distribute more than 2,000 Godpods with not only the gospel and health message, but much more! Find out how we’re doing it! · AWR is opening evangelism centers in places that seemed impossible just a few years ago. Five of them will be in Bangladesh. Another center is already opening in Nazareth, and one is in none other than Iraq! Then there’s Bhutan, Sikkim and Thailand. Nothing is impossible with God! Do you remember where you were the first time you heard the prophecy of Daniel 2 and understood you were living in the final chapters of earth’s history? Both my wife Kathy’s and my grandparents were Volga Germans who had just arrived in America when they first heard this amazing prophecy. It had only recently been discovered and fully understood, and its message spread like wildfire throughout America as Adventists embraced it and shared it with joy. That message is still relevant today, and we are closer to that glorious day than when we first believed. Japan is one of the most difficult countries to reach with the gospel message. That’s why I shared with you the story of the group of Japanese pastors who went to the Philippines to hold evangelistic meetings—some for the very first time—with the plan to return to Japan and hold their own series there. The plan was a success, but what I didn’t mention is that three courageous women—with no ministerial training—felt called to join them and preach their own evangelistic series. Below is a short video of their stories. It reminds us, once again, that God calls not only those who are talented and able to do a task, but He enables all who are willing to go when He calls—and the results will amaze us every time! When Isaiah heard the voice of God say, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” he immediately replied, “Here I am, send me!” The question is still being asked today, and we have the opportunity to reply, “I will go!” That’s what my wife Kathy and I proposed in our hearts many years ago, and it’s what AWR is all about—being on the front lines of the battle for a name—the name of Jesus. Something unprecedented is happening right now on the island of Mindoro in the Philippines. In the next few days, more than 100 communist rebels and their families will come out from their hiding places in the jungle mountains to start a new life with Jesus. Adventist World Radio has been working with the Philippine government to negotiate their surrender. They will walk straight into an Adventist church where AWR will be waiting to welcome them, along with the Philippine military and the major news networks from across the country. It will be a historic event! These dear people will remain on the church grounds for a week while they receive counseling, training, and the tools necessary to begin a new life—including funds and an acre of land! The best part is that every night, AWR will hold evangelistic meetings and the military will attend along with these former rebels and their families. I can’t wait to see what God will do next!
