We were saddened to learn of the death of Kathleen Marie Best (née Edwards) who passed away on 23 December 2021. Kathleen was born on 13 July 1936 in Kingston, Jamaica. On 27 October 1963 she married David Best and their union brought about three children: Tony, Arnold, and Jaqueline. Kathleen worked as a Stenographer before entering employment within the British Union Conference (BUC) on 5 September 1975. More than fifty leaders from churches around Scotland gathered in-person in Dundee on Sunday, 30 January for an Officers’ orientation day. BUC Induction and Residential Week
Together, We Will Go ‘Together, We Will Go’, was the theme for the four-day induction and residential meetings for all British Union Conference (BUC) staff held at the Denham Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire on 24-27 January. The event, planned for a team-building exercise, incorporated a one-day leadership training for all staff, officers and directors from across the BUC, comprising the two Conferences of North and South England and the three Missions of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
