‘We believe’ was the heartbeat of the BUC Core of Adventism 2022 as the much-appreciated annual event returned from 7 to 14 May. It was a genuinely hybrid affair with attendees gathering both online and in-person for an experience that affirmed their faith in Christ, our “essential” beliefs, the work of organisations and the ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We witness the war continuing with great concern, people losing their loved ones and their homes. We are making every effort to help accommodate refugees (including Seventh-day Adventist refugees) in the UK. Dedicated staff from Adventist Community Services from all the entities within the British Union Conference, the two Conferences of North and South and the three Missions are working together to encourage, empower and educate church members to open their homes and register as hosts.

There is a new weekly event at Stanborough Primary School every Wednesday morning in our EYFS building. Toddler Group has been running for over a month now, and we have a regular group of families that meet and enjoy our fantastic setting.
It has allowed us to reach out to the community, provide a glimpse of our unique school and what we offer as Adventist Education, and sum up our core values simply as ‘be kind to all’, which happens to be our Golden Rule!

‘Marvellous, infinite, matchless grace’, were the song lyrics that opened Willesden Church’s third baptism since lockdown lifted. The church came together, on Saturday, 21st May, to celebrate the new journey of baptismal candidate, Gloria Patricia Edwards, who inspired the creation of Willesden’s 24-Hour Prayer Line.
