“I understand you want to be a foster mom,” said the woman who knocked on Shoni Evans’ front door in a small community in Alaska.
“I . . . maybe,” Evans replied nervously.
“Well, these two babies need a foster mom,” the woman said insistently.
Evans had seen the native babies before with their foster mom at the local Adventist church she attended. But during this reintroduction, the woman holding them brought them into the Evans’ home and laid them on the couch along with medical equipment.

For about a month, children enrolled in Adventurers Clubs in the southeastern Brazilian state of Espírito Santo have called adults and the elderly to pray with them and offer encouragement during the pandemic-related lockdown. During these very difficult times, the work of Respiro has grown a lot on the counseling side of things.
