In the aftermath of a series of earthquakes, which have forced more than 800 public schools to close, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Puerto Rico is offering free enrollment to its church-operated schools across the island.

Ted Wilson touts Total Member Involvement to Malawi’s president
If anyone in Malawi had never heard of Total Member Involvement, there was a good chance that they had learned about the Seventh-day Adventist initiative by the end of a whirlwind visit by church president Ted N.C. Wilson.
Wilson emphasized Total Member Involvement, or TMI, at a meeting with Malawi’s president, during talks with the mayor of Malawi’s national capital, and in a Sabbath sermon attended 40,000 people in the country’s largest stadium.

Liberia’s Minister of Education supports “Every Child. Everywhere. In School” petition
To gain support for the Every Child Everywhere in School campaign, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency in the West Africa region has worked closely with the Adventist Church and community members to get word out about the petition. Since the campaign’s launch last year, nearly 100,000 signatures were collected in Ivory Coast, West Africa.

Sydney Adventist women stand united against domestic violence.
More than four hundred women from across Sydney came together dressed in white to make a stand against domestic violence at the recent “UNITED NIGHT 2020” held by Sydney Adventist women’s ministries on February 1.
“I love how the women respond[ed] by wearing white outfits in support of the anti-domestic violence movement. Together we stand as one, against any form of violence in our community,” said Women’s Ministries Director for the Greater Sydney Conference, Beryl Landers.

World Church leaders back creation of leadership institute
Solomon Maphosa worked as a pastor for three years in his native Zimbabwe before being asked to serve as conference stewardship director.
On the first day, the conference president prayed with Maphosa and showed him to his desk.
That was it.
