My Moment of Truth

Ed Keyes (Nevada-Utah Conference President) knew he had met his match when his daughter told him that if he didn’t change his ways, he might not be around to play with his grandkids. Ed works for the Seventh-day Adventist church and knows all about the Adventist heath “advantage” where many Adventists are able to extend their lives approximately seven years beyond the average American, through a healthy, balanced lifestyle. But he wasn’t living it. Weighing in at over 300 pounds, Ed knew that something had to be done.

Adventist Christian Fellowship

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been involved in ministry on non-Adventist college and university campuses for many years – 40 – 50 years in some places, but ministry has been sporadic and needing direction. Campus Catalyst Weekend Training provided by the North American Division youth department through Adventist Christian Fellowship is taking Adventist public campus ministry to a whole new level by helping launch new campus ministry groups, grow existing ACF chapters and by providing an Adventist campus ministry philosophy that will sustain campus ministry over time. Here student leaders, pastors and local church members learn how to plant a long term ministry outreach as part of the local church mission. Cast: Stories of Faith

inSpire 2015 Reflections

The inSpire weekend (Jan. 23-24, 2015), at La Sierra University Church, was an awesome experience! It was FREE and open to all, but was especially intended for Adventist creatives (artists, musicians, photographers, poets, songwriters, videographers and writers). This was an event where we celebrated and explored the creative process, especially within the realm of spirituality, and affirmed those who want to use their gifts to share God’s story of hope. inSpire 2016 will be held at the Carmichael Adventist Church in the Sacramento area on April 15-16, 2016.
