Hymn 602, “O Brother, Be Faithful” stands out clearly on Sunday in the question at the end of the days’ study. Rather than us having the “Blurred Spiritual Eyesight” on Monday , we ask in: Hymn 326, “Open My Eyes, That I May See” and Hymn 290, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” . In closing the study, Jesus knows that we all have cares: Hymn 99, “God Will Take Care of You” and Hymn 485, “I Must Tell Jesus”

We don’t need the Bible to teach us one obvious truth: the cares of this life and its riches are temporary. Nothing here lasts, and certainly not long either. As Paul said: “We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; Image © Jim Work Goodsalt.com but the things which are not seen are eternal” ( 2 Cor. 4:18 ).
