Thursday: Redeemed From a Curse (Gal. 3:9-14)

July 26, 2017 By admin

Paul’s opponents were no doubt stunned by his bold words in  Galatians 3:10 . They certainly did not think themselves to be under a curse; if anything, they expected to be blessed for their obedience. Image © Standard Publishing from GoodSalt.com Yet, Paul is unequivocal: “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, ‘ Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them ’ ”  (NKJV)

The Cross Bearer

July 26, 2017 By admin

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus. Luke 23:26. Jesus had hardly passed the gate of Pilate’s house when the cross which had been prepared for Barabbas was brought out and laid upon His bruised and bleeding shoulders. He had borne His burden but a few rods, when, from loss of blood and excessive weariness and pain, He fell fainting to the ground. When He revived, the cross was again placed upon His shoulders, and He was forced forward

July 26, 2017 By admin

By Monte Sahlin, July 26, 2017:     There are a number of voices today that say that the Bible teaches that God does not want women to take a leadership role in the church. Some go so far as to say that this is a “testing” issue that divides the church between the loyal and the […]

What Was Wrong With Sinai?

July 25, 2017 By admin

For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar— Galatians 4:24 NKJV  What did Paul mean by Mount Sinai? Many believe he was referring to the Ten Commandments. Was he? Paul speaks favorably of the Ten Commandments in Ephesians 6, and I doubt he would do so if he really thought they led to bondage. Dean Dennis – The Greatest Wish

July 25, 2017 By admin

Raised in the home of a godly preacher, Dean Dennis was baptized when he was 12 and was an active member in his church. However, later in life, with a family to care for, the call on his life took a backseat to a solid, well-paying career. Then one day, his small son said something that struck Dean deeply and forced him to reconsider his priorities. This heartfelt crisis of faith soon led him to the worldwide ministry of Amazing Facts and would change his life forever.
