"The intercession of Christ in man's behalf in the sanctuary above is as essential to the plan of salvation as was His death upon the cross. By His death He began that work which after His resurrection He ascended to complete in heaven." The Great Controvery page 489 The calculation of the time indicated in Daniel 8 leads to the year 1844. A year when many honest people expected Jesus to come and while they were correct in the time calculation, they were wrong in the expected event. Assuming, as many Christians did, that the term sanctuary referred to the earth, their conclusion was that Jesus would come and cleanse the earth in 1844. However, through much Bible study and prayer, these early Adventists learned that the sanctuary referred in Daniel 8:14 is the heavenly sanctuary where Christ is ministering today for you and for me. The earthly sanctuary built by human hands, but following divine instructions was a type of the heavenly sanctuary. It served as an object lesson, illustrating the plan of salvation. That plan included a special time known as the Day of Atonement when the high priest entered the most Holy place and the sanctuary would be cleansed by the symbolic removal of sin. Now this important ceremony represents what began on October 22, 1844 when Christ entered the most Holy place of the heavenly sanctuary. The world is changing rapidly and yet, praise God, His word never changes. Place your hope in Jesus, our savior, our advocate, our high priest, and our soon coming King, he will never fail those who put their trust in him. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfaSjoHpqGk

Sabbath School Lesson: From Fighting to the Beautiful Land
#Daniel 11 is not easy to understand. So, we need to be clear about some things from the start. Then we will understand the chapter better. First, Daniel 11 shows us the same message that we already saw in Daniel 2; Daniel 7; Daniel 8; and Daniel 9. The message in all these chapters starts in the days of Daniel and continues to the end of time. Second, we see different kingdoms rise to power. These kingdoms often hurt God’s people. Third, each chapter shows us a happy ending. In Daniel 2, the #SonofMan gets the kingdom. In Daniel 8 and Daniel 9, Jesus makes heaven’s temple clean. Daniel 11 has three basic parts. First, it starts with the Persian kings and what will happen to them. Then the chapter tells us about the end of time when the king of the North fights against God’s holy mountain. Second, the king of the North and the king of the South fight each other many times. Daniel 11 shows us how these wars hurt God’s people. Third, Daniel 11 shows a happy ending: God’s mountain destroys the king of the North. We see that evil ends forever. Then God sets up His everlasting kingdom. #SabbathSchool Lesson 12: https://bit.ly/2Yz6rAe Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOZMVQWexPg
Sabbath School Lesson: Living by the Word of #God
For this week's #SabbathSchool Lesson, we will study what it means to live by the #Bible. We will look at what it means to let the Bible have the final say in how we live too. Think about what has been your own experience with using the Scriptures in your battle with temptation. That is when tempted, did you start reading the Bible or quote #Scripture? What happened as a result, and what have you learned from that experience? The best plan for studying the Bible will not help us if we will not live by the #truth we learn from the Bible. What is true about education also is true about studying the Bible. You learn best by doing what you learn. When we obey Bible truth, then God will give us many #blessings. God will not give us these blessings if we do not take the time to obey what we learn. Our obedience will change our lives in exciting ways. It also will make us smart and wise. So, we must be willing to live what we learn from the Bible. Then our faith will grow strong. We will be powerful witnesses for #Jesus too. Our lives will be in perfect harmony with the #truth we share with other people. We grow in #wisdom and #mercy when we read about Jesus. He is the best example. We must copy His life. He lived in full agreement with God’s plan. Sabbath School Lesson 13: https://absg.adventist.org/pdf.php?file=2020:2Q:ER:PDFs:ERQ220_13.pdf Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi5qC3oOrHU
