I want to share two passages, that many claim contradict each other. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Romans 3:28 NKJV You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. James 2:24 NKJV When I run into apparent contradictions in the Bible, I eventually realize I was reading something into one of the passages that wasn’t there, or was missing something that was there. James 2:33 offers something that may have been missed. Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect

The introduction to our Sabbath School Lesson asks the question: “If Abraham’s works and law-keeping didn’t justify him before God, what hope do we have? This type of question is raised in: Hymn 571, “What Does the Lord Require” . In Sunday’s lesson we see that David was forgiven and restored. Each day we may ask in: Hymn 399, “Forgive Our Sins as We Forgive” .
