Renewed vision of the Society of Adventist Communicators affirms professionals and students

“We’re here to serve with purpose, to have passion in work that we do to spread the gospel, and to build partnerships with communicators,” said Libna Stevens, president of the Society of Adventist Communicators (SAC), about the 29th convention.
Nearly 300 dedicated professionals and eager students attended the annual convention, which was hosted at the headquarters of the North American Division (NAD) in Columbia, Maryland, on Oct. 18-20, 2018.

2018 Sonscreen "Confessionals"

These 2018 Sonscreen filmmaker “confessionals” are featured with the Adventist Journey magazine feature story in March. In this video, several young filmmakers share their thoughts on, and their reasons for, making films. Sonscreen Film Festival is the NAD’s annual gathering for Christian young adults who have a passion for using film and video for the purpose of creating timely and relevant productions for social awareness, outreach, and uplifting creative entertainment. Melody in the Heart

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19. The melody of praise is the atmosphere of heaven; and when heaven comes in touch with the earth, there is music and song…. Above the new-created earth, as it lay, fair and unblemished, under the smile of God, “the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.” Job 38:7.

SDACC Appoints New Indigenous Ministries Liaison

On September 25, 2018, the Board of Directors for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC) selected Campbell Page to serve as the Coordinator/Liaison for Indigenous Ministries in Canada. Page, a registered Métis, holds a doctoral degree in building interfaith community understanding and partnerships.
