Thatβs the story of the 19-year-old from Newday Christian Seventh-day Adventist Church in Parker, Colorado. Β On March 11, 2017, McTavish joined 300 other activists at SHIFT Justice Conference 2017 in Denver. She was one of the original organizers. Begun by six students and a teacher at Valor Christian High School last year, the youth chose the name SHIFT, realizing it takes aΒ shift Β in thinking to actually do something about an issue after hearing about it
