Wednesday: Ammi “My People”

In  Romans 9:25  Paul quotes  Hosea 2:23 , and in  Romans 9:26  he quotes  Hosea 1:10 . The background is that God instructed Hosea to take “a wife of whoredoms”  ( Hos. 1:2 )  as an illustration of God’s relationship with Israel, because the nation had gone after strange gods. Tuesday: Mysteries

Monday: What the Law Could Not Do

However good, the “law” (the ceremonial law, the moral law, or even both) cannot do for us what we need the most, and that is to provide the means of salvation, a means of saving us from the condemnation and death that sin brings.
