Adventist Church Releases Statements About Las Vegas Mass Shooting

October 2, 2017:    Several entities of the Adventist Church have responded with statements about the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night, October 1. The tragedy which continued to unfold in the early morning hours of October 2, has, so far, left 59 dead and at least 527 injured

Pastor Ryan Hablitzal, pastor of the Ogden, Utah, Seventh-day Adventist Church, wanted his church to do more then grow. He wanted it to THRIVE (grow vigorously)! So he brought in 10 young adults who belong to a ministry called THRIVE! Hard work and prayer has altered the course of doing ministry in Ogden. Follow along as Ryan and others tell what happened. Ogden is in the Nevada-Utah Conference.

Two years ago Pastor Ryan Hablitzel challenged the Logan Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Nevada-Utah Conference to think creatively in order to cash in on creative evangelism funds available through the Pacific Union Conference. After a couple of months of contemplation, the church came up with the idea for Advénte, a young adult program targeting students at Utah State University. Learn more about this positive venture.
