Cooking is a breeze with this recipe…
1/2 C boiling water
11/2 C dry Loma Linda Vita-Burger
1 C grated cheddar cheese*
3 C frozen hash brown potatoes (or 3 C grated potatoes)
1 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
3 eggs*
1/2 C chopped onion
In a small bowl, add Vita-Burger to boiling water. Let soak while preparing other ingredients.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients—including Vita-Burger—and pour into a greased 9″ x 13″ baking dish. Bake at 350° F for one hour.
*Lite Version Substitution
1 C grated low-fat cheddar cheese
3/4 C egg substitute

A favorite quick bread from childhood for many of us! Enjoy making this for yourself or others.
3/4 C pecans, chopped
1 C pitted dates
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbsp margarine
3/4 C boiling water
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 C sugar
1 1/4 C white flour
With a fork mix together nuts, dates, soda and salt. Add margarine and boiling water. Let mixture stand for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°. Spray bread pan. In a mixing bowl beat eggs with a fork. Beat in vanilla, sugar and flour. Add dates. Mix ingredients until just moistened then pour into bread pan. Bake for 65 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from bread pan. Cool completely on cooling rack.
Servings: 1 large loaf
