Overcoming sin. Have you succeeded in overcoming sin? If you don’t think you have, why worry? Aren’t we saved by grace and not by our works? Did Paul reject the doctrine of sanctification in favor of salvation by grace?

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. John 6:54, 55. Eternal life is the receiving of the living elements in the Scriptures, the doing of the will of God. This is what is meant by eating the flesh and drinking the blood of the Son of God.
