Antonio is 21 years old and very brave. He goes five days a week to the crowded Tacumbu prison in Paraguay’s capital, Asunción, to give Bible studies to 11 inmates.
But Antonio wasn’t always so brave. He grew up with a violent father and didn’t own a pair of shoes until he was 13. He says it is a miracle that he only visits the prison and is not an inmate living there.

Adventist volunteers deliver food to parents in pediatric hospital

While some children live happily with their parents, others sleep in a hospital ward. Many have been in these hospital’s for years. Their parents visit them as much as possible, for as long as possible, regardless of the weather, if they’re hungry, or lack sleep. To make this situation more bearable, the group “Adventist Hospital Volunteer,” led by Abel Vivanco, visited the Exequiel González Cortés Pediatric Hospital, in Santiago Chile to give breakfast and dinner to the parents of the children….

In Mexico, students complete church building for remote jungle congregation

A new Seventh-day Adventist Church building was completed in the heart of the Lacandon Jungle in Chiapas, Mexico, thanks to the efforts of students from Montemorelos University in North Mexico. Construction of the building, which began three years ago, took place on the same site as the 50-year-old wooden structure where members used to gather for worship services.
