Beating the Odds

Patty Vidales, Youth Director of the Paradise Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in National City, California, near San Diego, decided to be proactive. In addition to prayer and creating a safe place for kids to be real, she and other church leaders engaged in efforts that they believe can lead to youth retention. National City is in the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

Advénte (Church/Smoothie Bar)

Two years ago Pastor Ryan Hablitzel challenged the Logan Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Nevada-Utah Conference to think creatively in order to cash in on creative evangelism funds available through the Pacific Union Conference. After a couple of months of contemplation, the church came up with the idea for Advénte, a young adult program targeting students at Utah State University. Learn more about this positive venture.
