Going on 10 years, community soccer league promotes healthy living in Inland Empire

A soccer league that promotes community and wholeness education to families is celebrating a decade of service at Loma Linda University Health.
The Goal 4 Health soccer league, an annual initiative that encourages physical activity, drew 260 community participants during this year’s two-month run, up from the usual 200 participants each year.

Sabbath message leads 115 to be baptized in PNG

More than 100 former members of the Abundant Life Church (ALC) at Puri Kona, Jiwaka Province, Papua New Guinea, were recently baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Their decision was largely triggered by former ALC member Buddy Power who, after studying the Bible, came across texts referring to the Sabbath. Over 500 run Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center 5K to support mental health awareness

“Stand Up to Stigma,” a 5K run/walk sponsored by the Loma Linda University Health Behavioral Medicine Center in Redlands, drew more than 500 runners and walkers of all ages on Sunday, May 20. By participating in this second-annual event, runners demonstrated their support for mental health services.

Tokyo church speaks of miracles ahead of evangelistic meetings

The large water bill shocked Japanese church leaders in Tokyo.
Astonished that the bill had doubled from the previous month, leaders of Amanuma Seventh-day Adventist Church contacted the water company and soon learned that an underground pipe had burst and was spewing water. 
The waterpipe could not be repaired, and the water company advised the church to install an above-ground waterpipe. The cost: 7 million yen, or about U.S.$70,000.
The church didn’t have 7 million yen.
