Adventists in Townsville brace for more heavy rain

The Northern Australian Conference (NAC) office in Townsville remains closed today due to the flood crisis affecting northern Queensland.
While the office has not experienced any flood damage, road closures are restricting travel to the site, which is also home to Aitkenvale Adventist Church, Riverside Adventist Christian School and the Church’s campground—Riverside Convention Centre. Despite the riverside setting, the buildings are set high on the grounds above the swollen Ross River.

11 -year-old boy never runs out of money

Little Alvan Harold liked hearing coins jingling in his pocket as he walked home from school in Kisumu, Kenya. Then he could stop by a shop and buy some crunchy nuts or a creamy ice cream.
One day, the Bible teacher shocked Alvan by talking about his beloved pocket money to his fifth-grade class.
“You should not spend all your pocket money on nuts and ice cream during the week but save some to give to God on Sabbath,” she said.

Mission impossible becomes mission possible

Burundi Adventist soldiers are playing an important role in evangelism that has already led many souls to Jesus. The troops are on a peace-keeping mission in Somalia, assigned to them by the United Nations. Since other Adventists in Burundi are doing their part to share the gospel through Total Member Involvement (TMI), these soldiers felt called to share their faith in the place where God had placed them as well.

Students impact indigenous communities in mountainous region in North Mexico

Nearly 50 students, teachers, medical staff and volunteers from Montemorelos University, recently visited several indigenous communities in the mountainous region in the State of Chihuahua in North Mexico, sharing hope and giving out toys, blankets, clothing, bible books, and solar radios.
