Daniel Ionita – Lansare de carte: “Insula cuvintelor de acasa”, Bucuresti, 4 Octombrie 2017

September 26, 2017 By Site Editor

English

The launch of the volume Insula Cuvintelor de Acasă (The island of words from home) my first book written exclusively in Romanian, will be – as is the custom by now with my book launches – a musical-literary event. We will be blessed with the talents of some old friends who supported my events in the past. For example musical segment by the exceptional singer/song-writer Nicu Alifantis, a recital of poems from the volume by the amazing Manuela Hărăbor, the presentation of the book by langer-than-life (really!) literary critic and historian Alex Ștefănescu, as well as the Limes Publishing House director Mr. Mircea Petean. I will wear a brilliant bow-tie and possible not a lot else. And I will try to say little, except I will shout it, maybe, like LITTLE!, say. I invite you all to join in, for ninety minutes of music, poetry, bow-ties and fun, with some really talented people.

The launch will take place Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 17.00 hours, at Mihai Eminescu Bookstore, Blvd. Regina Elisabeta 16, Bucuresti.

A Good Fight

September 26, 2017 By admin

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7, 8. Through his long term of service, Paul had never faltered in his allegiance to his Saviour. Wherever he was—whether before scowling Pharisees, or Roman authorities; before the furious mob at Lystra, or the convicted sinners in the Macedonian dungeon; whether reasoning with the panic-stricken sailors on the shipwrecked vessel, or standing alone before Nero to plead for his life—he had never been ashamed of the cause he was advocating

Having emphasized the centrality of the Cross of Christ to the Christian life, Paul now emphasizes the second fundamental tenet of his gospel message: justification by faith. As we have seen all quarter, Paul has basically pitted circumcision against the gospel.

How Shall We Resolve Congregational Conflicts?

September 26, 2017 By admin
