In Jamaica, Adventist Church joins the Ministry of Health to impact through Adopt-A-Clinic Initiative

The Seventh-day Adventist Church, known for its belief and strong emphasis in wholistic health, has joined forces with the Ministry of Health to impact Jamaica in its fight against non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Through the church’s Mission Project 2019 initiative themed “Wholistic Health for Personal and National Transformation,” the church gave its undertaking to adopt 100 government clinics under its adopt-a-clinics program to see to the upgrade of physical infrastructures where necessary…

New Pan-Serbian Choir links youth and community

It might seem impossible.  A group of young people brought together just a year ago from across Serbia with one aim, to form the LINK youth choir.  Yet their sincere enthusiasm and deep motivation is infectious, and despite obstacles of distance, age and temperament, the LINK choir is garnering success.

Condolences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in connection with the tragedy in Magnitogorsk.

The following statement was made by the Euro-Asia Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church after a gas explosion ripped through an apartment building in southern Russia on December 31. 31 people have now been confirmed dead and 10 still listed as missing. 
With deep sorrow, the Seventh-day Adventist Christians, along with all the Russian people, received the news of the tragic events that took place on December 31, 2018 in Magnitogorsk.

Deadly tsunami killing hundreds in Indonesia prompts ADRA response

Days after a deadly tsunami hit the coastal towns near the Sunda Strait in Indonesia, local government officials reported 426 people are confirmed dead, 7,202 people injured, 23 are missing and 40,386 have been evacuated. These numbers continue to rise while rescue operations are still ongoing.

In recent years these countries, among others, have experienced an influx of refugees that has created a huge need of basic services for displaced people.
