Adventist Church presents new ‘I Will Go’ strategic plan

The Seventh-day Adventist Church unveiled a five-year strategic plan called “I Will Go” and approved an updated mission statement that aims to more closely reflect the wording of Jesus’ Great Commission.
The draft strategy pursues many goals of the current five-year plan, “Reach the World,” but simplifies the plan while retaining its sharp focus on spreading the gospel and nurturing church members. It will be voted on at 2019 Annual Council and, if approved, be implemented from the 2020 General…

New mission textbook launches at fall Annual Council

A new Adventist missions textbook is now available, thanks to the results of a study the Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research (ASTR) for the Adventist Church performed just a few years ago. The textbook was revealed onstage during the Sunday morning business session at the Fall Annual Council in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Adventist Church embarks on ‘New Era’ in missionary work

Jeff Scoggins, a U.S.-based pastor and the son of missionaries, received a call to the Euro-Asia Division, a vast territory that encompasses Russia and many of the other former Soviet republics.
Eight months later, he was flying with his wife, Becky, to Moscow to serve as field secretary in charge of Global Mission projects and strategic planning at the Euro-Asia Division.

Hundreds receive free medical care at World Church Headquarters

In the wee hours of Sunday, October 7, hundreds lined up outside of the World Church headquarters in Silver Spring, Md. to receive free vision and dental care offered by The Hope Clinic, a one-day collaborative effort.
