Adventists organize aid for victims of disaster in Brumadinho, Brazil

On Friday, January 25, a large mining dam burst in Brumadinho, Brazil, flooding nearby offices and homes with wastewater and trapping cars and people under a sea of mud and sludge. The state fire department has confirmed that nine people are dead, 300 are missing, and multiple families are homeless. This accident is the second in this area in three years.

Balakovo Adventist community ends year with special thanksgiving service

The Balakovo Adventist Church in Russia’s Saratov region held a special thanksgiving service on December 30 to end the year with parishioners and community guests.  New Year’s is the time of summing up, when people look back and analyze the outgoing year and make plans for the future. The Balakovo community is grateful to God for all the blessings granted in 2018.

Seventy-seven-year-old Helen Croden is a going concern when it comes to helping people. She has a wealth of over 40 years’ experience using her gifts—cooking, catering, and organizational skills—mostly on a volunteer basis. Integrated Adventist Health Portal launches

To enable easier access to health information, the Adventist Church in South America launched the Integrated Adventist Health Portal ‘Quiero Vida y Salud’ [I want Life and Health] in Spanish and Portugese at its Annual Council.  The idea is to add everything related to health within the guidelines upheld by Adventists around the world. That includes articles, videos, images and podcasts on any given topic, especially as it relates to  preventative care.
