ADRA receives air support to help with ongoing relief aid in Indonesia

As response efforts continue for thousands of affected people hardest hit by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake followed by an 18-foot tsunami, which struck the town of Palu and nearby areas in central Sulawesi in Indonesia, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has received air support thanks to Airlink, a disaster response organization in Washington, DC, to assist with ongoing relief work.

Tsunami kills hundreds in Indonesia; ADRA responding

A powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia triggered a powerful tsunami that killed nearly 400 people in the hard-hit town of Palu and nearby areas in central Sulawesi leaving hundreds missing and injured. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is deploying emergency response teams to the disaster area to provide rapid aid to the people most affected by this tragedy.

Organizing a Pathfinder camp can be a big challenge, but for Douglas Babakobau, Sitiveni Vesikula and Peter Varuru, who are passionate about Pathfinders, it was an easy decision to make.

In Puerto Rico, at 103 years of age, man decides to give his life to Jesus

As he came out of the water, 103-year-old Carlos Ortíz García raised his hands in victory, rejoicing to have accepted Jesus as his personal Savior. Church members at the Youth Center of the East Puerto Rico Adventist Conference, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, rejoiced with him as they witnessed the baptismal ceremony on Aug. 11, 2018.
