Sharing God’s Love

Dear God: Everyone’s favorite Bible text could be, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”1 What a promise! What hope! What assurance!

Father, that includes me and everybody else in this whole world. Please let me be a channel of that love to others. When I think of the recent calamities in our world and the loss of life, I thank you that I can still cling to your love. Please use your Holy Spirit and Holy Angels to bring assurance of your love to these devastated families. Use us help to share your love through our means to these dear human beings that we do not know and will probably never meet in this life. We just want to share your love through what we can provide.

Help me and all others realize that love can still rejoice in this sad and mixed-up life, because it rejoices in the truth. In this way, love can provide for all a future.

Man’s Inability to Save Himself

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
