Maryland church partners with ADRA, medical personnel to provide relief

On November 7, 2018, more than 50 volunteers traveled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to launch the “Haiti, We Hear You” mission campaign. Through the partnership of the Capitol Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church (CHC), ADRA Connections—the volunteer program of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)—and private sector partners from Maryland and the District of Columbia, a team of doctors, nurses and students will help 185 families displaced after the devastating earthquake in 2010.

Wilson and wife Nancy were greeted by church leaders in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during a special welcome at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport’s diplomatic lounge earlier today. World Orphans-Vulnerable Children’s Sabbath

World Orphans Day was created by The Stars Foundation to raise awareness about the number of children in this world who lack something most of us take for granted: parents. The Stars Foundation™, founded by Cheryl in early 1990’s, was committed to helping youth at risk and child abuse victims through strategic relationships with non-profit organizations. 
Their wish was for this day to motivate people to help in any way they can. World Orphans Day falls on the second Monday of each November….
